Hi. I have been speaking with friends of mine a bit for a while now about traveling and places to go. I am trying to get a hand full of friends together to travel once a year to some place different each time and am interested in some ideas of places to go. I figure if I could get about 4 or 5 people together then a hotel and other costs could be split up among us and help make the financial berdon more manageable.
I am interested in knowing what places have you found to be great for travel and getting around.
What places are must see places?
I think our first trip is going to be New York in some parts.
I have just gotten back from Dinver calorado and found the transportation was quite easy in the area.
Thanks
to be honest, "must see places", are diffrent- depending on who you are and what you like
example: someone who likes history or the war may be facinated by the anne frank house, but if you're not in to that- it may not be the place for you
i'm interested in horse racing- and i'd love to see a horse race live- but someone may think it's the most boring thing ever
so with that in mind, what sort of places do you think of as "must see?"
Speaking only for myself, I can't really think of any "must see" destinations, although I enjoy traveling and new experiences
I'm aware of one service who arranges group trips for VI individuals. The website is www.mindseyetravel.com. I think there is a service in England known as Travel Eyes, but don't quote me on that.
The Minds Eye Travel group is planning a Mediterrainian cruise, a African Safari, and a river cruise on the Danube river in Hungary for 2017. In my opinion their a little pricey and don't include airfare, but something like this may be an option.
Keeping in mind that everything is relative, I think my must see places include
Vietnam, especially Hue in vietnam, Tokyo, Paris, London, Berlin, Swtzerland,
Vienna, one of the concentration camps, New York, Boston, Washington D.C.
and Philidelphia.
Yep, I'm a history freak, and want to visit places of relevance, so next spring I'll be going to D.C.
In addition, I would like to visit Paris (again), several other parts of Europe, like, one of those train travel things, Egypt, Tokyo, China, places in India, and hmmm, New Zealand sounds perfect.
Oh, and I forgot Alaska and Hawaii, and various places in Canada. New York City sounds cool, but a lot of people who live there even thinks that it's incredibly crowded, and probably over rated.
I think I've reconsidered my position on places to visit. Like someone else said earlier, I have an interest in history myself, particularly military history. I wouldn't mind visiting the Custer battlefield in Montana. I have read so much about the battle I think it would be cool to walk the ground where the events happened 140 years ago. Even my vision is gone I could visualize the events in my head and imagine the horrible event in our history.
I like shows, the waters, boats.
So, new Yourk City, and it is easy to get about.
Paris, Florida again, it has been a while, London, because I've read so much about it, and one of these train trips in Europe, or even a biking trip. I'm in to fitness, so I'd not mind that at all.
Hey, next time we're both online, mind sending me a PQN? I am working on getting my finances together, and traveling more, but no one to go with, and mind's eyes travel is crazy expensive. :)
Maybe we can collab on something.
